How to get there
Cousin Island does not organise trips to the island. Visits to Cousin are undertaken by local tour operators. You will need to find a local operator who can bring you across for your excursion. Approximately, 200m before Cousin Island, visitors are transferred to one of the island boats, skippered by one of the Reserve’s specialist boat handlers. From there, you will make the final journey to the island. This prevents the accidental introduction of alien species that could harm the native biodiversity.
Tour structure - How is it organized?
Visitors are taken to a small shelter featuring some interpretive material and are broken into smaller groups according to their preferred language: English and French are spoken by the Wardens. The tour takes visitors to special features of the island and typically lasts for one and half hours. After the tour is over, visitors gather in the shelter and are ferried back to their boats.
